Robert A. Curtis, PharmD
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Curtis is Chief Executive Officer of the RTDC. Previously, he was co-founder, President, and CEO of HistoRx, Inc., a tissue-based diagnostics company founded with the Yale University School of Medicine. Prior to that, Dr. Curtis founded and/or was directly involved in the early development of nine start-up companies including CombiChem, Pharmacopeia, MetaMorphix, Cape Aquaculture Technologies, and Cambridge Neuroscience. Prior to these entrepreneurial initiatives, Dr. Curtis held a variety of positions at Pfizer including Director of Licensing and Development, with responsibility for worldwide pharmaceutical licensing and technology acquisition. He started his career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Medical Center. Dr. Curtis serves on the board of directors or as an advisor to a number of public and private entrepreneurial companies and has served as a judge for the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. He received a BS in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, a PharmD from the University of Missouri, and an MBA from Columbia University.
