The Regional Technology Development Corp. is a new “accelerator,” a “virtual incubator.”

RTDC programs will facilitate technology transfer and support entrepreneurs in the formation and growth of new/emerging and existing technology-based companies by providing business assistance services such as market development, management team building, accessing equity capital, and others.

Technology areas of interest to the RTDC include, but are not limited to, ocean sciences, environmental sciences, life sciences, and alternative energy technologies. The RTDC’s goal is to stimulate commercialization of emerging technologies while creating full-time, year-round jobs that diversify the local economy.

The RTDC is located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, home to such marine science and technology corp's as the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Marine Biological Laboratory.
